She is a Naledi Award nominated actress and musical director. Adéle composes music and recently performed her pieces at a Classics Now concert, sharing the stage with world renowned musicians, including the Soweto String Quartet.

Adéle, under the guidance and mentorship of Dr Lance Maron, has created her own unique method of singing training. She works internationally with singers, actors and comedians and has been fortunate enough to coach artists such as Trevor Noah, Kahn Morbee, Louise Carver and numerous musical theatre performers. Recognised as the best vocal coach in the country, Adéle is frequently called upon as a vocal consultant for top managements.

Adéle is honoured to currently be teaching singing at the Waterfront Theatre School. It is in fact Delia Sainsbury and Keith Galloway who ignited her love for the theatre when she was a child.

Samantha graduated cum laude from Rhodes University with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies, specialising in Communication Design. Although not a practising journalist, her background in communication and design informs an interdisciplinary and research-informed approach to vocal pedagogy.

She is the founder of Luminous, a vocal studio established with a holistic focus on Commercial Contemporary vocal training. Samantha studied classical voice for five years before transitioning into contemporary styles, beginning her professional vocal journey with Charon Williams-Ros in 2009. She is a contributor to the IEB WR Vocal Syllabus and has trained with internationally recognised vocal pedagogues Seth Riggs and New York–based Jeff Alani Stanfill. Her professional development includes certifications in Voice Function 101 and The Mechanics of Mix and Belt from Maddie Tarbox Studios in Winchester, Virginia.

With over fifteen years’ experience as a vocal consultant and coach, Samantha works with singers from early childhood through to professional level, across a wide range of genres. Her teaching prioritises evidence-based technique, vocal health, and the development of individual artistic identity.

Alongside her teaching practice, Samantha is an active performer and recording artist, with multiple singles released on international streaming platforms. Her debut solo single, “Dreamers,” was featured in the independent film The Cane Cutter and appears on an international soundtrack by LA-based film composer Mark Killian. She continues to perform and produce live work locally and internationally, and currently serves as the resident vocal coach for KwaZulu-Natal’s leading talent competition, Project Performer.

Samantha is a well-known performer, writing and producing shows in South Africa. She does a multitude of live events from theatre to corporate and arena performances. She is also the resident vocal coach for KZN’s number one talent competition, Project Performer.
