Waterfront Theatre School - History and Facilities

Keith and Delia established a part and full time College in 1978, in JHB in the Carlton Center under the name of Dance Workshop.
The College expanded and moved to Rosebank in 1986 and relocated to Cape Town in 1992 under the new name of ‘The Waterfront Theatre School’Overlooking Cape Town’s prestigious V&A Waterfront,the College now has nine studios, 3 private lesson rooms, 3 costume stores, a canteen, an extensive workshop and serviced accomodation for 20 full-time students. There is a resident staff of 13 teachers,plus guest teachers.
All teachers and lecturers are fully internationally qualified and the courses are registered through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, London and Trinity Guildhall of London. This insures that all qualifications issued by the Waterfront Theatre School and College are transferable and recognised world wide.
Guest tutors ensure that the work is current as the teachers are involved in ongoing professional productions both nationally and internationally. There is a resident guard/caretaker and 24 hour patrol from the Waterfront.
