1. First of all, we are the only full-time college in the whole of South Africa, where you can study all aspects of the Performing Arts under one roof. At other establishments, you can study dance, drama or musical theatre, but the choices of an all-round training are limited. At the WTS, you can achieve both teaching and performing qualifications in all three genres. 2. All our qualifications are internationally recognized. 3. Our time-table is re-evaluated annually, to keep up with the ever increasing demands of the profession. Classes are changed and adapted constantly to keep up with the current trends and productions. 4. Our students are evaluated on an individual basis, and the time-table is individualized to meet their need and talents. For example, you could be a first year in dance, but in second year drama, depending on your level of entry. 5. All our teachers have international qualifications and extensive performing experience in their field. You will therefore receive the best career advice. 6. Using our contacts in the industry, both here and overseas, we go the extra mile to place you with an agent and secure your first job in the industry, after you graduate, be that teaching or performing, in any field. 7. We make sure that you are employable when you leave, and that all skills are maximized. 8. We provide performing opportunities in television, commercials, film and theatre, whilst you are training, providing that the training programme is not interfered with. |
